STEM Wana Trust ran STEM HQ this year, an amazing drop in Science Centre with lots of hands on activities.
I built them a Wind Tube. I've built a few wind tubes before for MOTAT and Stardome, but this time we developed a seed dispersal theme; looking at the how seeds can use wind to transport them away from the parent plant to a more favourable location to grow..
My favourite was Sycamore because of its looping spinning flight.
The visitors could make Kauri, Sycamore, Puawānanga (Clematis), Kōwhangatara (Spinifex), Toitoi or anything else that took their fancy!
